With over 35 years in the hair care industry, Shelia Marie’s journey into beauty and wellness began from a deeply personal place. After experiencing significant hair loss due to alopecia—a condition that affects millions—she turned to hair extensions to restore her confidence. That transformation not only changed how she saw herself, but it also ignited a passion to help others facing similar challenges. From that pivotal moment, Shelia Marie found her calling: enhancing beauty and confidence through the art of hair.

Shelia Marie launched her career in Atlanta, where her talent and dedication quickly stood out. Her education, training, and early success in both hair care and makeup earned her the honor of being selected as one of the top 30 stylists to serve athletes and officials at the 1996 Olympic Games hosted in Atlanta, Georgia. This once-in-a-lifetime experience confirmed her potential as an entrepreneur and laid the foundation for her future vision.

In 2000, Shelia relocated to Dallas, Texas. With a fresh start and a clear vision, she quickly built a loyal clientele. By her fourth year, she opened her first salon, Studio 957, with the mission to create a serene retreat where women could escape the stress of daily life. Her salon became a space to sip wine or iced tea, engage in uplifting conversation, and receive premium hair care in a nurturing environment.

Her exceptional work and inviting atmosphere soon made her one of the most sought-after stylists among Dallas’s high-profile community. Her clientele included:

In 2008, Shelia Marie married and relocated to Austin, Texas. Two years later, she opened Shelia Marie Studio Salon, continuing her mission in a new city—still grounded in the same vision: to provide a peaceful, welcoming space where clients feel cared for, empowered, and beautiful.
